Milonga Típica is the first album to be released by the
San Francisco Tango Orchestra. This CD captures the work
that went into preparing for the San Francisco performances between July 19-23, 2005.
The San Francisco Tango Orchestra is an ongoing project led by Argentine director,
arranger, and bandoneónista Roman Rosso.
The project seeks to recreate the sound of the orquesta típica of Buenos Aires here in the United States.
Their repertoire includes traditional tangos as well as contemporary ones.
The orchestra is currently trying to finalize a tour in the San Francisco Bay Area for the month
of July in 2006. If you are interested in having the San Francisco Tango Orchestra play at your
event, please contact us.
